Having grown up in a strife-ridden section of Los Angeles during the `70s, to becoming a professional anti-Cold War activist/hell-raiser in the 80s, the founder and operator of a nonprofit graphics and marketing company for the charitable sector in the `90s, to the world-traveling website designer (founder of www.NuNomad.com), Richard Hamel is now exploring the literary nodes of his creative side. He has also written Quit Dreaming and Go!: A step-by-Step Manual on What it Takes to Travel the World and Support Yourself in the Process (Lulu Press) and Joel’s Leap, a soon-to-be (self) published “post nuclear war, time-travel, love story.”

Although the author enjoys traveling from country-to-country, He spends much of his time on Lanta Island, Thailand.
